Mrs. Wimberly graduated from Hendrix College with a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and from the University of Alabama with a Master of Social Work. She has practiced as a mental health therapist since 2004 in both inpatient and outpatient settings, working with individuals, families, and groups with a variety of issues and diagnoses. She provides services for adolescent, adult, and geriatric clients with Major Depressive Disorder, Bipolar Disorder, anxiety disorders, Schizophrenia, Schizoaffective Disorder, personality disorders, ADHD, gender dysphoria, and adjustment disorders, as well as life issues including grief, marital/relationship problems, occupational problems, anger management, assertiveness/communication, parenting, and family issues. She uses a variety of therapeutic techniques including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, brief solution focused therapy, and person centered counseling. She enjoys helping clients define their goals in life and reach their fullest potential, with a focus on overall health and wellbeing. When not working, she enjoys spending time with her husband, children, and dog, exercising and weight lifting, and traveling. Mrs. Wimberly is currently accepting new clients.
